Moth Doll

A stuffed doll based on the character Moth from "Return to Eden" [link] by

Moth is wearing the "hair-seal" you just can't see it in this picture.

height: 25 in/63.5 cm (total length); 16 in/40.5 cm (seated height)

Limbs are sewn into position. Hand-sewn yarn hair, unbleached cotton muslin body with polyester stuffing and pipe-cleaner spine (helps support head). The face was "thread-sculpted" and painted with acrylics. The hair sticks are acrylic paint over aluminum foil and a tooth pick. The robe was made using fabric from my graduation robe (unknown fiber content).

Doll body mostly based on patterns from the book "Creative Cloth Doll Making" by Patti Medaris Culea. The robe pattern was drafted by me to fit the doll.
